From May 24 to May 26, twenty-five lucky seventh graders from the Mott Hall School got a chance to go upstate New York to experience the beautiful outdoors of the Catskill Mountains and learn about the ecology of the forest. We traveled to The Frost Valley YMCA Environmental Education Center in Claryville, New York. Thanks to the generosity of the Catskill Watershed Corporation and Watershed Agricultural Council, we crossed rivers on ropes, played games to build our group spirit, hiked, viewed a lovely waterfall, ate good food, square danced to the music of a famous country fiddler, laughed, learned and did much more. We loved our experience in Frost Valley, and we will never forget it.
