The Mott Hall Dark Knight Chess Team competed in the 2007 Junior High School
National Chess Championships in Sacramento, CA, March 30 - April 1. The team
brought back a total of 12 individual and team trophies.Highlights included two
individual championships. Fifth grader Zhiming Tu was undefeated through all
seven rounds and won the Unrated Section. Fifth grader Amit Saha was a
co-champion of the Under 1000 Section. Mott Hall would like to thank chess coach
Gerald Times for his commitment and untiring effort in preparing our students. Unrated Section - Zhiming Tu - Champion

Bake Sale February 9th and 16th (Both Fridays) for Eloquence
Magazine. Money will be raised to purchase plexi-glass for the mural
located on the cafeteria.
Unveiled!
Café Des Livres is
now open for business. After a successful unveiling that included some
renown special guest speakers including Brad Hamilton, an editor from
the New York Post, and Susan Avery, the children’s editor for New York
Magazine.
Many
thanks to all those who assisted in the launching of Café des Livres
including Rene Munoz, Erica Staton, Sydalg Ferriero, Melanie Thai,
Evelyn Moran, Jose Febrero, Anthony DeRosa and everyone else who helped
make the celebration such a success! |
